The Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Designation Program was created to recognize fire offcers who have demonstrated a consistent level of excellence and achievement during their careers.

To receive the CFO designation, one must assemble a portfolio illustrating accomplishments in several key areas including: education, experience, professional development, professional contributions, association memberships, community involvement and technical competencies.
